《DARQ》講述一名男孩 Lloyd 的故事，他意識到自己處於夢境之中。不幸的是，Lloyd 的夢境迅速轉變為夢魘，而無論他如何努力醒來，都以失敗告終。在探索其潛意識暗角的同時，Lloyd 也學習著如何藉由扭曲物理定律以及操縱夢境世界的流體質地，在惡夢中生存下來。

行走牆面，隱身，解謎
除了對抗重力，Lloyd 也必須在周遭有敵人時隱形。因為 Lloyd 所面對的生物比他更為強大且行動更加快速，若正面對決，他毫無勝算。他只能仰賴謹慎盤算，免於被敵人偵測到他的存在。
